GNA-NES

Dear Colleagues, dear friends,

We are pleased to inform you again that in May 2014 in Prague the Neurootological and Equilibriometric Society (NES) voted Dr. Ágnes Szirmai associate professor as the president and Dr. Beáta Bencsik assistant professor as the first secretary of the Society. At the same time, the Society also voted and decided to transfer the seat of the Society from Bad Kissingen, Germany to Budapest, Hungary. The 42nd congress Members Assembly in Sao Paulo in March 2015 had confirmed the decision about the headquarter transposition from Bad Kissingen, Germany, to Budapest, Hungary.

As you know, this scientific society was founded in 1974 by Prof. Dr. Claus Franz Claussen in Germany with the objective to increase the awareness on otoneurology as an interdisciplinary science, also through the congresses held on an annual basis. The otoneurology is a border-line discipline between otology and neurology, since the otoneurologist can help in the diagnosis and treatment of some neurological and otological disorder, which can cause vertigo or balance disorder. Traditionally, venue of the congress is the seat of the Society in even-numbered years and different metropolises all over the world in odd-numbered years, such as Sao Paolo in March 2015. The next congress will be held at the new seat of the Society, Budapest, organized by the newly elected chairmanship.

The transfer of the headquarter from Bad Kissingen to Budapest is going on, but because of the different laws of the two countries (Germany and Hungary); every member must confirm his/her membership again for the registration in Hungary. If you want to remain the member of the NES (and I do hope so that you want it), please, fill out this membership form, sign it, and send me back by mail, or regular post or fax. (My e-mail addresses: szirmai1@invitel.hu, szirmai.agnes@med.semmelweis-univ.hu, Fax: +36-1-333-3316)

Hereby we kindly invite you to our next NES Congress:
Venue: Danubius Health Spa Resort Helia,
Kárpát utca 62-64. 1133 Budapest HUNGARY
Date: 26th-28th May, 2016.
The home-page of the congress is: www.nesbasisbudapest.hu. You can find there all information, and you can make your registration for the congress participation.

Successful realization of the forthcoming congress is of great importance for us, with respect to the international reputation of our country and the debut of the new management of the Society as well.

Budapest, 31 August 2015

Yours sincerely,
